As Sundays go it was a time of Rest and having Fun.
Some of the other things that occupied my Sundays were being introduce to the splendid Art of Fishing.By my older Brothers and there Friends. There were always time for us to relax up the Local Commons with the Ponds fill with Fish.
Come Autumn there was the Who could find the Biggest conker or knocking them out of the Trees(HorseChest Nut).number of times that I fell from Trees but Boys will be Boys.
Sunday nights were for TV with things like Sunday Night at the London Paladinu,The Untuchables,Wagon Train, Quiz shows,I LOVE LUCY and other stuff on the Black & White TV.Music and Drama was another of the things that was begining to hit the Radio.Like The Archers,Mrs Dales Diary.
Well seem like i have just about covered the Sundays of my early years, just to say they can never be repeated, but we can always reminisce about the Good old Days. Will let you into my life on Satureday's in the near future.

  1. The Sundays of your youth were filled with fun-loving, wonderful things. Ours were filled with fried chicken and lots of family after church. Then a change of clothes and we were off across the street to the school yard to play games.
